How to use your vanilla beans

1. Using a sharp knife, carefully trim the ends off of your vanilla beans.
2. Carefully slice each bean in half lengthwise. You need to cut all the way through, so that you now have two pieces.
3. While holding one end of the bean, use the tip of a spoon to slowly scrape out all of the vanilla seeds. (this “caviar” contains the flavor)
4.The “paste” inside each vanilla bean contains approximately the same vanilla flavor as 3 teaspoons of single-fold vanilla extract. Use accordingly, and mix thoroughly into your creation!

If you’d like, cut the remaining vanilla bean husks into several pieces and put them into your sugar bowl. Give a stir, and in a short time, you’ll have made yourself vanilla sugar!
